Another Park Adventure...

Today was another beautiful fall day, especially for this late in November. So after church, we decided to take a walk at one of the other parks around here. We'd hadn't been to it yet, so we weren't sure what sort of trails they had and how long they were...and for some reason, Aaron wasn't so trusting when I said they probably had some short trails (see previous post).

Rebekah and I were ready for a nice long walk, but someone else in our walking party wanted a short walk. I won't say who it was, but keep in mind, it was just our family..hehehe.

Anyway, we found the perfect park with trails for a nice, leisurely walk in the park. Short trails and easy walking...as long as you don't trip over the roots on the path. Now knowing our family, you can probably guess that we tripped several times, but happy to report no one fell and it made for a trail of laughing at...er, I mean...with each other.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our enjoyable Sunday afternoon stroll...(we walked 3 trails and only went about a mile).

Some mossy logs in the little ravine. They were a bright green, although it's hard to tell from the picture.

Aaron and Rebekah getting ready to descend the steps going down to the bridge to cross the mostly dried up creek in the little ravine.

There they go...

Rebekah wanted so badly to look over the railing on the bridge...I love that her feet don't touch the bridge when she tries. (By they way, you should have seen my precarious pose on a mossy rock and log taking this picture of them on the bridge. Aaron was just waiting for me to fall in and get wet. However, I am better on logs and rocks then rooty paths...lol)

At one of the several ponds we came across....

And another pond...I'm not sure what Rebekah is doing here....maybe trying to make sure Aaron was looking at the camera?

And just another scenic picture...I liked how the sunlight was coming through the trees and the reflection on the pond. If we had had some rain recently, there would have been a little waterfall, but it was dry. Maybe next time....

Hope you all are enjoying the beautiful fall weather too!
